Math Night Postponed Due to Weather Concerns 

We will be rescheduling for sometime early in 2023. 

Math Night Returns  Tues. Nov 29th and needs your help!

  • The more volunteers we have, the more actives we can offer at this loved event!
  • Please volunteer early to help us best organize our biggest family event! Math Night Volunteers get a free meal (pizza and a drink) and front row seats to making learning fun!

Math night started as a PTA sponsored event in 2000!  It is a family friendly event that allows students and parents alike to play, learn and have fun - with math!   Students participate in hands on activities, construction and art projects, games, puzzles and more. There are booths for local vendors of educational and math supplies and exhibits from school classes.  Every student who attends Math Night receives a certificate for "One Free Math Homework Assignment" .  Students also have the opportunity to earn prizes in multiple challenges, including estimation and remembering the most digits of PI.

Toy Drive   Nov. 28th - Dec. 1st

Let's help all the kids have happy holidays this year! Bring new, unwrapped toys to school from Nov.  28 - Dec 1st to donate to Holly House. They give pajamas, socks, underwear, and toys to kids in the Edmonds School District who otherwise might not have them. Our mascot Howler will be collecting donations in the morning and after school. Holly House has a list of gift ideas on their site as well as an Amazon Wish List.

Holly House is also looking for adult volunteers for their packing parties. The dates to help are:

  • Sunday, December 4, 2022 - 10 am to 4 pm
  • Wednesday, December 7, 2022 - 3 pm to 8 pm

The Reflections Student Entry Form is attached HERE and is due Dec. 9th. Completed entry forms need to be emailed with a digital file of the entry to president@terraceparkpta.com.  Copies of the entry form are also in the school office. 

The National PTA Reflections program encourages students of all ages and abilities to explore and be involved in the arts.Through the program, National PTA, the Terrace Park PTA and PTAs across the country urge students in preschool through grade 12 to create and submit original works of art in the medium of their choice— dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography and visual arts — reflecting on a specific theme. There also is a special artist division option for students with disabilities to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in the program. Students are recognized each year for their artistic ingenuity to bring the theme to life in a way that is personal and meaningful. 

Celebrate our school at the Holiday Bazaar and PTA General Meeting.

Come enjoy music, food and shopping!  

New this year, the PTA is hosting a Holiday Bazaar during their General Meeting. Students, their families, and teachers are welcome to reserve a table to sell your wares.  Food, hot chocolate, and snacks will be available for sale, with proceeds going to support the 6th Grade activities.  You are welcome to come and sell any handmade items or baked goods, or just come to shop and eat. There will also be a Cake Walk, with delicious cake, cupcake, and other dessert prizes. Socialize and support our families!

The Holiday Bazaar and General Meeting will be on

Thursday, Dec. 15th from 6-8 pm.

Volunteers make a BIG difference!

We are excited to have in person community building events again! With your help we can accomplish a lot this year! 

When volunteers commit to serving at a school, students achieve higher grades, have access to more opportunities, and gain community connections to help them thrive. To ensure student safety Edmonds School District requires volunteers to be screened and approved for in-person work prior to being in the school. The new application process is available by HERE. Thank you & please be patient as the district processes applications at the start of the year.

Our teachers have requested an extra set of helping hands this year, and it would be wonderful to have a parent assigned as a Room Parent in each classroom. This entails coordinating class volunteers, helping with class communications, and stepping in when help is needed.  

PTA is thrilled to offer in person activities this year! We have many projects planned, but your support can make them easier and more fun!

The Terrace Park PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) is a non-profit volunteer organization which serves to support all of the students, teachers and staff at Terrace Park Elementary.

 With your help!

As you can see, the PTA does a LOT of great stuff for Terrace Park, but we need a LOT of help in order to do it all.  We therefore encourage every Terrace Park community member to please find some time to volunteer throughout the school year.  Whether it be assisting in the classroom, weeding at a school clean up work party, pitching in during a school event, researching or writing grants from home, or spearheading a fundraising activity, there are countless fun, worthwhile ways to step in and get involved!

Without everyone's help, students and teachers would have to miss out on things like treasured annual events, field trips, enrichment programs, or more.  Many hands make light work - the more community members (like you) get involved, the more vibrant our school becomes, so please share your time and talents with us whenever and however you can! Please REGISTER with the district to volunteer, share how you'd like to help out at Volunteer@TerraceParkPTA.com and look for sign-ups closer to each event on the website, Facebook and Instagram.
